Ringing in Ear Symptoms
Can you imagine anything as disruptive and irritating to your life as a ringing in the ears. It can interfere with a person’s hearing, concentration and sleep. The noises affect not only social life but also work and school efforts are often comprimised.
If you are battling to sleep as a result of the ringing in the ears symptoms, it is very likely that you could also suffer from bouts of depression and irritability. These sounds can be heard in one or both ears and they can come and go.
The condition is known as tinnitus and can be exteremely loud in some but hardly noticeable in others. Everybody will report different sounds or slightly differing symptoms as the sounds they describe are what they hear and no two people will describe them the same.
You might hear a:
• Roaring
• High pitched whistling sounds
• a bee like buzzing noise
• Humming
• Clacking
• Chirping
• Hissing
• A whooshing noise like a vacuum cleaner
Most people that suffer from ringing in the ears will hear one or more of the sounds listed above but some people have what is called pulsatile tinnitus. This is typical amongst people who have atheroma (fatty deposits in the blood vessels) causing a narrowing or a blockage.
Before you begin using a ringing in the ears treatment, it’s recommended that you have your health care provider run the necessary test to rule out any medical condition, drug or injury that could be causing the tinnitus. If something is found and treated, it’s possible the tinnitus will go away on its own. If no cause can be found or if it’s something that can’t be cured, then it’s time to look for a treatment that will help reduce your symptoms.
The advice discussed is simply for researching purposes only. No medical treatment is meant. With all health problems it is advisable to consult a health professional when considering medical counsel.
