What causes Tinnitus
Tinnitus occurs due to many reasons. It is the condition in which the sufferer hears some sounds within the ear but in the absence of any sound from outside. The sufferer hears different types of sounds. It can be sounds of ringing or swishing and other types of sounds. The sounds basically originate in the head.
Sometimes the causes of tinnitus are simple and it causes temporary tinnitus. But if this goes on for a long time it can also cause permanent disability in hearing. So whenever you have this problem it is better to take immediate steps. Tinnitus is definitely not a disease.
It occurs as a result of activities in the brain or even in the hearing system. The ear has four sections, the first is the outer ear, and then the middle ear, next comes the inner ear and finally the brain. The problem of tinnitus can occur in any of these four sections.
It can happen due to any medical condition or due to ear disorder. Sometimes it is difficult to diagnose the exact cause of tinnitus. Tinnitus may occur due to the accumulation of wax in the ear. It is also a fact that tinnitus can even be hereditary. Tinnitus is rarely inherited.
Various other reasons for the occurence of tinnitus are head injuries,presence foreign particles in the ear,high blood pressure or hypertension or ear infections. It can also be caused due to be caused to an exposure to a loud noise like firecracker, loud music, firearms and so on.
It can be caused due to the blockage in the ear canal, any damage to in the hearing nerve present in the ear, old age, certain antibiotics or other medications can also be the reason. As soon as you find that you are having problems in hearing you need to consult a doctor.
